We love Christmastime! And our toy train!! We were good and waited till the SECOND week of November this year :)

Tanya Comes to Visit

Brian was on a school trip to Mexico this past weekend, so I asked my sister Tanya to come help me with the kids while he was gone. We had an awesome girls weekend!

38 Weeks!

Yep, I am still pregnant. Tomorrow I will be 38 weeks. I can't believe I am at the tail end of this pregnancy already, it seems like it has gone really fast. And in some ways it has gone really slow!

Spring Break 2011: Mariah Makes Cookies

For Easter, Brian's mom got Mariah a super-cute apron so she could help us cook in the kitchen.

The Millers Visit So-Cal

Brian's parents, his sister Christie and her husband Steve came to visit for Presidents Day weekend. Steve had a BYU Lacrosse tournament to coach in So-Cal so we all had time to hang out together.

A New Food Blog

I know this is a little premature, as New Years resolutions are just around the corner, but I wanted to get a head start! I have started a new blog called Veronica's Diet. Lately I have been reading more and more about how crazy unhealthy people eat in this country, including myself! New Living Room Pictures

Oh to be creative! I feel like so many of my friends are so crafty....and then there's me, the one with the frumpy apartment. But over the weekend I tried to do a little picture project. Months ago, we took down most of the pictures in our living room to update them, and then we never got around to putting them up. So I got fed up with it and finally put them back up in a collage style.

Here's the best before picture I could find (don't mind the random mess or husband). As you can see, this space needs some work.

And here's the after. We tried to incorporate the high lights of our photos, including our recent holiday photo shoot. We even went to the store and got a few new throw pillows. I'm proud of myself. :)

French Bread Recipe (Bread Machine)

So today I had a strange craving for French bread but didn't want to have to go all the way to the store, so I decided to make it!

Brian Builds a Bed

A few weeks ago, Brian decided to build Mariah a big girl bed. It only took him two days!

The only bad part was that Brian had to do it in the living room (one small sacrifice for such awesomeness tho)!

Oregon Trip 2010

Last week I got back from my trip to Oregon. It was the first time in FIVE years that the bottom six sisters (my siblings I actually grew up with) could all get together. We had so much fun!

Our Car was Broken Into

This morning, we woke to a knock on our door. Little did we know that as we were slumbering through the night, some creep with a crowbar was rummaging through our car looking for money and stuff to sell.

Bread Machine!

So I got a sweet bread machine for Christmas, but since we were in Boston for the holidays, we had to ship it all the way across the country to get it home.

Well, FINALLY we got it in the mail today. Woo hoo, I get to play with my present! What to make first? I have roll dough going right now... and then some cinnamon bread right after. Maybe pizza dough for tomorrow... I am going to wear this puppy out! There goes the diet, we're going to have way too many carbs lying around :)

Applying my New Years Resolution: Spiritual 4x4 Plan

I am taking my resolution seriously! I really need to start getting on track with my spirituality. So to aid in my spiritual voyage, I will reinstate a little plan that we used a few years back at church. When Brian and I were members of our BYU married student ward, the bishop gave us a plan to follow called the "4x4 Plan," comprising of 4 things we should be accomplishing weekly and monthly:

Happy New Year! I'm sure this post will be just a little cliched but as it's New Year's Day, I thought I was due for a little reflection on this past year. I wanted to evaluate how well I did on last year's resolutions and make new ones for the year.

Christmas 2009

This year we spent Christmas at Brian's parents' new home in Boston. It was so fun but oh so cold!

I wanted to take a minute to wish everyone a Merry Christmas!

Since members of my family were having such a hard time right now, we decided to forgo sending out Christmas cards this year. Instead, we spent the money we would have used on postage on a worthier cause. And we are sending you a Christmas blog post instead!

Miller 2nd Annual Fondue Party

A few weeks ago we held the Miller 2nd Annual Fondue Party. We had so many people (50+)! It was lots of fun with lots of good food. We served 2 cheese fondues (Swiss-mushroom and cheddar) and 2 dessert fondues (chocolate and caramel). It got us in the holiday mood!

Mariah Used the Toilet!

I know we are far from being potty-trained, but I have some exciting news: Mariah had her first experience on the toilet!

No More Rat

I woke at 3 AM to a loud snap from the kitchen. We got the culprit. No more little droppings in our house. Woo hoo!
