Breaking Dawn Movie Premiere

I was all set to stay up ridiculously late for the Breaking Dawn midnight show because I knew I had to see it as soon as it comes out.

Dinner with Friends

A few weeks ago, we met up Ian Miller and Jeff Hart (we fondly refer to him as Jeffart), friends from our BYU days. It seems like we were just there, but I guess so much time has passed! We went to Portillo's in Anaheim (yummy!) for dinner.

Halloween Time 2011

I know, it's almost December and I haven't posted about Halloween yet. My excuse: it's nearly impossible to get some solid computer time! I'm sure most people know it takes a long time to find all the pics, enhance them and post about them, probably about an hour per post. Unless I blog just from my phone, then it's a lot shorter. Sorry folks, in particular to grandparents who have been asking for Halloween costume pics :)

Disneyland is for Adults too

A couple weeks ago I went to Disneyland with some girlfriends. WITHOUT BABIES! Let me just say, it was the most fun I have had in a LONG time!

Meeting Friends: There's an App for That

Sorry for the 2 week hiatus from blogging. My iPhone blog app has frozen on me and deleted this post TWO TIMES! I was frustrated so it took me a while to retype it. I finally realized i should back it up just in case. Third time's a charm!

In September 2010, when i found out I was pregnant again, I downloaded this app called BabyBump. The app tracks all things related to your pregnancy: weight gain, doctor visits, symptoms, etc. It also has a forum section! I joined one forum for all moms whose babies would be born in September 2011. After a while of talking on this forum, a few of us decided to start a group on Facebook so we could share photos and make it more personable.

Today was a new experience. Brian had the morning off from school so we decided to go to Disneyland (our passes just got renewed, thanks Paige!).

Kylie's Baby Blessing

We blessed baby Kylie on Sunday, September 18th (on Mariah's birthday!). Brian's family was still in town for it. And we also had help from some friends in our ward. Usually people wait a little longer to bless the baby but we wanted family to help, so it was either now or during the holidays in Boston! Independence Day 2011

    Happy    Birthday    America!   

Baseball games, hotdog eating contests, parades, BBQs, watching movies about aliens, and fireworks. I can't think of any activities more patriotic than these to celebrate our nation's birth.

This 4th of July was one for the history books. We were all over the place! Here are some of the high lights:

Easter Egg Hunt 2011

Today Mariah and I went to an Easter egg hunt in the park with my mommy friends. It's a few weeks early, but since most of my friends are fellow dental school wives, we wanted to celebrate before all of our husbands went on spring break from school.

It's a Sunshine Day

This week we have had amazing weather, topping 90* for about 3 days. My mommy friends and I took our kids to the beach for the day.

St. Patricks Day 2011

For St. Patrick's Day this year, I thought I would spare Brian the green-dyed foods and cheesy Disney movies about leprocauns. Instead we were invited to a genuine St. Patty's party.

The Arboretum

Southern California has really cool opportunities to visit museums and such on their "free days." I went with Nicole and Jackson to the Arboretum.

They have free-roaming peacocks on the grounds. They are so pretty!

Valentines Day 2011

We had an awesome Valentine exchange for all the kids in the church gym on Valentines Day. And there were lots of yummy treats!

Superbowl!

We had our traditional Superbowl party this year. It was a good turnout! We had fried chicken, the superbowl cake, chips and queso and other awesome game foods.

Church Ball: 3 on 3 Tournament

Brian refereed in the 2nd Annual South Pasadena Elders Quorum Basketball Tournament. Lots of competition this year.

We Like it a Yacht!

An alumni of USC invited dental students and their families on his yacht on a tour of the Newport harbor. It was so cool!

BYU vs UCLA Basketball Game

On Saturday we went to the BYU basketball game in Anaheim's Honda Center. Time to bust out the old BYU garb!

Ward Christmas Party

This Saturday we went to our church's Christmas party. It's hard for most people to grasp the awesomeness of LDS folks: we all pitch in! We hardly had any budget for this party, but everyone gave a little and it turned out amazing.

It's that time again...for our annual Fondue party! This year we fondued four different flavors: cheddar, pizza, chocolate and caramel.
