Happy Birthday America!
Baseball games, hotdog eating contests, parades, BBQs, watching movies about aliens, and fireworks. I can't think of any activities more patriotic than these to celebrate our nation's birth.

This 4th of July was one for the history books. We were all over the place! Here are some of the high lights:
We first headed to Arroyo Seco Park to play some softball (well the husbands played while we wives watched with the kids). Thankfully we found some shade, since it was so hot!
Then we drove downtown to watch the parade. We thought it would be like Provo where you have to scope out your spot the night before. But I think people in South Pas like better to be IN the parade than watching it. Compared to Utah, there was no one there! All the better for us, we LDS folks found a huge tree to sit under all together.
After the parade, we had to go home and make some cupcakes (pictured below). Brian watched Nathan's Hotdog Eating Contest while Mariah fell asleep on the couch.
Then we headed to the Rudelich's house for a barbeque. There was lots of delicious food and Luke's gourmet burgers. They have a really cool 3D TV, so some of the boys were trying it out. The kids did patriotic crafts and watched Rio, while everyone else watched Battle: LA.
Then came the fireworks! We got a really awesome seat on top of the roof. Mariah watched some of the fireworks and then watched videos on my iPhone in the pack-n-play.
What a fun day!
