This weekend, I will officially be 7 months pregnant (on July 3, I will have exactly 2 more months left). I now have doctor visits every 2 weeks. During the last visit, my doctor did an ultrasound and we discovered the baby was breech frank (meaning it was head up, feet by head). During this visit, however, the baby had turned to the normal head-down, feet up, position. You would think I would have felt such a movement?? I am so glad she turned on her own, hopefully for the last time! And everything else is great too. I am feeling more pregnant and uncomfortable. It's almost impossible to paint my own toenails. I have to sneeze with my legs crossed (sorry, TMI). And I need a nap most days. But thankfully, my face and feet haven't started swelling too much like they did last time. Not yet anyway :)
I am curious, who of you have had/considered a natural birth? I hesitated posting about this because usually when I tell people I want to try to go natural, people either ask, "WHY??" like I'm some masochist, or say, "good luck," like it's an impossible undertaking that has never been done before.
Let's just say I have my reasons. I have been considering going natural since before I was even pregnant with this baby. I got to see my sister go thru almost all of it last month and it would be an amazing experience to try to do it myself. With Mariah, it was far from natural: I was induced and had an epidural. This time around I will try to be patient and let the baby come on her own and see how far I can get without any meds.
Any natural birth advice for me??

You can't tell in your face at all! That's my numero uno goal for next time and you'll be my inspiration :) 2 months to go - woot woot! We gotta start working on your shower!
your body is made for it! Go in there with the plan of going natural but be open minded! And if there are any issues going on be okay with the fact that your baby is most important. And that you will do anything you need to do to get that baby here safe and sound. It's painful and it's not easy. But you can totally do it. Just be patient and tell yourself the baby is coming 2 weeks late and then you will be happy when she gets here earlier. (she'll come when she's ready...don't rush her) Let me know if you have any questions. I'd be happy to answer!
I had to have sooo many drugs/complications with zach that I was sort of hoping Elizabeth would be all natural- and it was. The key for me is that I was 6 days overdue, I stayed home for a few hours of labor (middle of the night) and then went. When we came in they said I was a 5ish, so I figured I would need the epidural if I was only halfway. You gave to be on the iv for 20 min before they give you the epidural, so in 20 min they checked and I was a 10! They broke my water and I started pushing...the only bummer part was it took 2 and a half hours of pushing. I got up an hour after she was born and took a shower! Basically once the stitches were done my pain level never rose above a level 1. With zach's I was still at a 6 for 2 days! So if I could repeat elizabeths but with a shortened pushing time I would for sure do that every time. That's just me though, I don't tell people like You should do this! Or anything, but with passing out so much and having 8 epidurals not work, this was cake! :)
Ps, that whole crossing legs to sneeze? I still have to do that. It started when I was pregnant with Elizabeth and never went away!
I think that's awesome that you want to go natural. You can totally do it. My advice is to really prepare yourself with relaxation and breathing techniques (as well as birthing positions and pressure points that your hubby can help you with). Overprepare! My natural birth hurt like hell and I don't think I want to do it 100% natural again BUT I'm really glad I did it and very proud of myself!! You can do it, you'll be great!! :)
