Breaking Dawn Movie Premiere

I was all set to stay up ridiculously late for the Breaking Dawn midnight show because I knew I had to see it as soon as it comes out.

Veronica the Twi-hard

There will be big changes in my life tonight ... I am going to see Breaking Dawn Pt. 1! I would just like to claim that I read these books FOREVER ago. Before Robert Pattinson. Before the movies were even announced! It was way back before we had kids in the summer of 2007. Brian and I had been married for only 7 months, and I working a summer job at APX Alarm in Provo, UT. My coworker friends Louisa and Colette turned me on to these books. Brian thought I was crazy because all I could do was read the books!

Here is a little video for proof (don't mind my crudeness, I was young!)

Yeah. So there. So excited for the movie :)

Independence Day 2011

    Happy    Birthday    America!
Baseball games, hotdog eating contests, parades, BBQs, watching movies about aliens, and fireworks. I can't think of any activities more patriotic than these to celebrate our nation's birth.

This 4th of July was one for the history books. We were all over the place! Here are some of the high lights:

This Past Month: Twilight Business

Movie Screening: "Life as We Know It"

Last night, Brian and I (and Chris and Jenny, Chris and Paige, and Blake and Erica) saw a free movie screening of Life as We Know It, a comedy about how these two single people (who hate each other) have to take care of their mutual best friends after they die. It was pretty cool! There were a lot of funny parts! And I really liked the parenting aspect, it’s really hard! The little girl is really cute too. And Katherine Heigl and Josh Duhamel are both awesome. It comes out in October 2010, so look for it!

To get free movie screenings, sign up at these websites: Nielsen Movie View and USA Audiences.

First "Eclipse" Trailer!

Heck yeah! I've been waiting so long to see this trailer! Can't wait till June!

"Alice in Wonderland"

I LOVED LOVED LOVED THIS MOVIE! It was incredible, and it was my first 3D movie. I can't stop thinking about it. And I'm very hit-and-miss with Tim Burton. But wow, he did such a fantastic job!

Veronica "Ronnie" Miller in "The Last Song" movie

So apparently, Miley Cyrus is going to be playing me in the new Nicholas Sparks feature, The Last Song. It's so weird, they have a character named after me! She even goes by Ronnie!! AAh, now I'm going to have to read the book to find out about this other Veronica Miller.

Taylor Lautner Bet

While in the car going to Disneyland Thursday morning, Brian and I heard on the radio that it was Taylor Lautner's birthday (jailbait no more!), which led to the discussion (on my part) of how dead sexy he is. Then Brian said that he would just be a fad, like Twilight, that people would forget about him in a few years.

I beg to differ! So we made a wager. I bet Brian $20 that Taylor Lautner would be next generation of Brad Pitts and Tom Cruises, that he would be the next action/sexy-buff man/heart throb of the next five years, especially with his new action movie, Max Steel. Brian bets that he will phase out and be forgotten within the next five years, that he will crash and burn with Twilight.

I think i just made an easy $20!

Another Book Recommendation, "Dear John"

As the movie is coming out pretty soon, I decided to read Dear John by Nicholas Sparks over Christmas break. And then I just let my friend Kate borrow it, and thought others would like to know how it was. It was really good but bitter sweet! I am so excited for the movie in a few weeks (I really like books to movies, hence my reading The Lovely Bones, coming out this weekend, and My Sister's Keeper, that came out this past summer, both very good books.

New Moon Midnight Showing

Thursday night we saw the Twilight/New Moon double feature at our local AMC theatre. It was AWESOME!

Here's me outside walking to the theatre and seeing people line up for HOURS beforehand. It was nuts. There were a lot of Twi-hards out there!

Concessions were nuts, but we got popcorn anyway (we're popcorn junkies)!

I hadn't been this excited to see a movie in a really long time. Only a few more hours!

Here was our theatre, everyone was getting ready to see Twilight first.

Here are some of the people we went with: Pehrson and Kate, Kim, Alyssa, Chris and Jenny, Chris and Paige and Blake and Erica. We had a ton of fun!

Brian was such a good sport about seeing it with me! I'm such a nerd.

The movie was amazing! It was made way better than Twilight, and Taylor Lautner totally stole the show. He was so good, I think I have a crush on him! Those abs...whew!

But note to self: NEVER do another midnight showing again. Mariah doesn't care that I stayed up till 3:30, she still woke me up at 6:30! I'm still catching up on sleep. And Brian was sick all weekend from it. Midnight shows aren't as fun when you have a baby. :)

Veronica's Movie Review: G.I. Joe

Brian and I just saw G.I. Joe yesterday. It was pretty good. Channing Tatum was gorgeous as usual, I love seeing him in uniform. And I'm sure Brian liked all the stuff blowing up, since that made up about 75% of the movie. It was better than I thought it would be and the plot twist was kind of cool at the end. The whistling guy was pretty creepy though. All in all, it was a good excuse to get out of the house and eat lots of popcorn.
