Thanksgiving 2008

Thanksgiving 2008 was a wonderful event! Both sides of our family came to Utah to be with us. Our dinner fed about 20 people total. We were well prepared: 2-23 lb turkeys, 12 pies, 6 lbs of corn, 6 dozen rolls, and about 5 lb of mashed potatoes! It was truly a feast and we were eating leftovers for days. And it was really fun hosting. Thanks for all those that came and helped make our Thanksgiving the best in years. It was so great seeing everyone (though crazy at times). We missed those that could not make it and we hope you'll be able to come next year ( to Pie's house??)!

Oh and Happy Birthday Pie, we're glad we got to celebrate your golden birthday with you. I'm sure you don't like having your birthday fall on Thanksgiving, but we sure do! The ice cream cake was delicious.

Iceskating Ward Activity

Iceskating! This Friday, we went to Brian's singles ward activity to Seven Peaks Ice Arena. Veronica totally forgot how to skate, it's been so long. But neither of us fell! We only threw ice shavings at each other as we skated by. It was a lot of fun and great exercise too. We even got to see a little of a BYU Hockey game, it was a close one.

Relaxing and TV

For the past month or so, Mariah has been obsessed with TVs (or any kind of screen for that matter). Whenever she spots something: phones, the computer, the TV, she stays fixed until we move her away from it. You can see her eyes locked on something in these pictures (yep, the TV). It's definitely something we're going to have to monitor as she gets older.

Bath Time Again Part 2

Clearly, we're still working with Bath Time. Eventually she'll love it. Until then, we're using steamy bathrooms and space heaters to try to keep her happy.
