Kylie is 6 months old

Kylie turned 6 months old on the 6th. Here are some cool facts about our little cutie.

She has a tooth (well, this was taken when it was barely coming in, but I promise it's poked thru)!

She ALWAYS has Einstein hair. I think because she's going to be a curly like me.

She gets hugs/held by Mariah usually only after a bribe. It's getting better tho. Mariah didn't want anything to do with Kylie before. Now she will be nice if she gets something out of it.

She still has light eyes. They haven't decided what color they want to be yet. In the sun, they are bluish grey with a hint of brown in the center. Maybe they will be hazel?

She is tiny. Despite eating way more than Mariah ever did, she is in only the 5th percentile for weight. She is 13 lbs. Another little peanut :)

Realizations...

Corned beef and cabbage is stinky and gross.

This tradition does this year. Please remind me next year before I buy one out of nostalgia!

We tried unsuccessfully to invite two of our friends over to help us finish it so we wouldn't have any leftovers. But it's sitting our fridge, daring us to eat it again. Wah!

It's been a while...

I'm the worst blogger in the world. I go on awesome spurts and then no updates for a month! I'm sorry I haven't gotten to Christmas yet. If you're really itching for pics, check Facebook.

Lately, I have been so exhausted with Kylie, so many other things trump the blog as far as what I will use my limited energy for. I also haven't sent out Xmas cards. They are still on my desk. I'm a horrible person.

Kylie. What a sweetheart. What a knucklehead. She will be 5 months old in a week! But sadly she is still waking up 3 times a night. Plus she needs me to replace her hunky on top of that. It leaves me with very patchy sleep. It's like she's still a newborn! But she's getting pretty cute.

Here is a pic of us at Disneyland a couple of weeks ago. It was my first time going with both girls by myself. For the most part it went fine. Mariah was happy to go again. Feeding Kylie in public was fine. I just did it discreetly. But then both girls fell asleep on the way back to the car so I had to carry 2 dead-weight children, plus a double stroller. I'm glad I didn't drop them!

Oh and as a part of my New Years resolution (to love myself as I am and not as I think I should be), I have worn my hair curly for all of 2012 so far! I am really trying to embrace my curls after suppressing them all my life. I think i wore a pony tail up till i discovered a flat iron in high school. And I have been pretty much straightening it ever since.

But I have to accept the fact that I don't have straight hair. I am interracial. I have very unique hair. Why am I trying to make myself ordinary??

I found this awesome website called Naturally Curly. It has so much info about how to do curly hair. I am still learning, but my curls already look way better than they did before. I just wish my hair would grow faster. I want long hair again!

Kylie is 4 Months Old!

Yes, I still need to write about Our awesome Christmas, but I just wanted to share about our day. We went to Kylie's 4 month checkup. She is in the 25th percentile for weight and height. Compared to Mariah, she's HUGE! Here are her charts (weight, height, head):

After her appointment, we picked up Mariah from preschool and went to the park. Kylie took her first swing ride!

She really liked it. She was so quiet and complained a little when I took her out :) How is she already 4 months?? - Posted using BlogPress from my iPhone

Christmas 2011

Wait, it's already APRIL?? Oops, posting about Christmas! Sorry folks, I had technical difficulties importing these pictures into Lightroom, and then just gave up. So I haven't really updated the blog since. SOO, here we go, more updates to come. I'm just going to back date them and pretend like I was blogging the whole time :)

For Christmas this year, we went to Brian's parents' house in Boston. All of the family was there this year, so it was a full house!

We got there first, so we said hi to our friends Nick and Catherine, who were my friends from middle school. I wish we took pictures!

{Family Pics}
We took some family pictures on the first Sunday before everyone came.

{Edaville Park}
Nearby, there's a park called Edaville with carnival rides, food, lights, and a real train you can ride. They also had CIDER DONUTS (New England treat)! Brian and I shared one. OMG, so good.

I was a little scared for my life on this one! It didn't seem the safest. But I survived!

This is what Kylie did the whole time. It was COLD (but one of the warmer nights when we were there)!

Train ride

The cousins on the turtle ride. Mariah kept putting her hands up on all the rides. Disneyland has trained her well.

None of the Millers wanted to go on the good rides, so we "in-laws" had to go by ourselves!

{Pics of the Miller girls}
(we MAY have bribed Mariah to take a few of these...)

{The 1st Annual Miller Christmas Pageant}
A wonderful tradition we started this year. It was awesome and disorganized. Maybe next year, we should write a script.

Kylie played an awesome Baby Jesus!

Shepherds: Steve and Blake
Narrator: Claude
Camera crew: Laisa

I think Marlena was the angel??

EVERYONE wanted a staff. So we had a lot of shepherds.

{Christmas Morning}

Mariah got sick on Christmas morning so we didn't get dressed for pictures :( But here we are opening our stockings.

Brian restrained fixed up an old pastry cutter that belonged Marlena's grandma. A great Christmas surprise!

Blake's favorite word of the break: "Trash"

Reading The Tickle Monster

Flying the helicopters around

Christmas Dinner

{Shooting}

This is Brian's new hobby. They went a bazillion times over the break.

{Park Fun}

{Chilling}

Bath time with the cousins: this one had the least amount of nudity.

I can't remember if this was a heated game or not. Games is really big in this family.

We combined recipes to make AMAZING cinnamon rolls for Christmas morning.

And of course we made LOTS of cookies.

And the kids helped eat the batter.

{Indoor Play}

Where do kids go play in Boston when it's freezing outside?? Indoors :)

Can you touch the top?? Christie looks really athletic doing this.

...And Mariah and I kinda just look like slugs...

{Gingerbread Houses}

Ours was pretty awesome.

And what did we do for New Year's Eve?? Brian and I went to bed at 10:00pm. LAME!
