Couponing!

I have found a new hobby: COUPONING! A few weeks ago, I started watching the TLC show Extreme Couponing and I felt so beside myself. How in the world can these people be buying HUNDREDS of dollars for only $5-10??

It's all about the coupons!

So I decided to do a little research on how to start "couponing" and found some really great websites (one of my favorites here). Apparently you can use ONE manufacture coupon and ONE store coupon on the same item. Combine that will great sales, and you can save 90-100% (sometimes you can even make money!).

I figure this is a good way to build up an emergency storage of things we need. Then when we actually need them, we don't have to pay retail price (deodorant for $0.15 anyone??).

So here are all the items I have bought in the past two weeks (from Walgreens and Target):

-21 rolls of Scotch tape
-9 sticks of deodorant
-7 bottles of body washes
-4 bottles of lotions
-3 bottles dish soaps
-2 packages of diapers
-2 Venus razors
-2 packages of pantiliner
-1 package of Little Swimmers

All the items retail to be a total of about $150.00 with tax.
{I paid only $15!}

Not too shabby a beginner, eh?

That is funny, I just started watching that show too! Good job on actually making it work...I got all excited and printed off coupons and there still aren't many deals out there! It seems like nothing goes on sale enough to make it worth it. Keep me updated, I want to see what else you get!

Niiiiiiiiiiiiiice! Our problem would be storage. Have you seen how much closet space we have - or MAJOR lack thereof? If only your apartments allowed pets...

Do keep us updated on your good finds!

Awesome sis, I love that show. I've been thinking about doing a little too, just have to make the time. It's also nice to ask your favorite stores if they have double your coupon days. I asked Albertsons and they do it.
