I need your help!

So I normally wouldn't do this, but I know they are at the end of their options. I have no choice but to ask that the spirit of Christmas touch the hearts of whomever reads this post so that we can help someone in great need this holiday season.

Recently my sister, someone so very dear to me, has had challenge after challenge in these past few years. Struggling financially through school with a son, they recently moved to Albany, OR, in hopes that her husband's radiology program would place him into a year-long externship and subsequently a job.

She just finished school and recently had their second boy in August. She is trying to return to the workforce to support her family, but as so many others have experienced, she had a hard time finding work.  Finally she found a good match, and with the help of financial aid from his program, they would be able to make ends meet. She struggled for weeks to find suitable childcare, and just within the past few days has found it.

A few days ago, they learned tragic news. Her husband was dropped from his radiology program. Years of costly school and two moves across Oregon later, they have nothing to show for all of their perseverance.

Now with Christmas only weeks away, they are facing a family crisis. It is out of the question that they will even have a Christmas, let alone a place to call home. He needs to find work immediately or they won't be able to make rent this month.

They have exhausted all their resources; their local Christian churches can't help them anymore. I have contacted the local LDS church for help so I am waiting to hear back from them. They have no more credit or school loan opportunities. And sadly, my family is hardly in any shape to help them in any huge way. They truly need a miracle this Christmas season.

And so I ask for your help. And like I said, I would never do this if there were any other way. This wonderful family desperately needs you. If there is anything you would like to give on their behalf, whether it be clothing or toys for Christmas (even gently used ones will be great), or if it's feasible, any money donations, or even job or housing tips, or just for more information to keep this family in your prayers, please email me at VeronicaCMiller@gmail.com.

Also if you can pass this message along if you have a blog or email, that would help so much! I love them so much and this is the only way I know how to help them.

Thank you so much for your time. Merry Christmas!

Love,
Veronica

I so wish I had something to share with your sister. I am so sorry she is in such a difficult situation - I will pray for her family. I copied and pasted your post onto my blog. Let me know if there is anything else I can do.

Try the local LDS employment center. They are all over and they have REALLY good resources for finding a job. We have had ours come and talk to the people around here a lot for jobs- they have lots of hook-ups through the church and help with whatever else to find a job. I hope things start to turn around for them
