Last week, I tried to take Mariah to the beach, but we ended up leaving too late so we (Kim and Allison) decided to swim at a friend's house (Kim's in-laws) instead. It's so gorgeous, it was a nice change from all of South Pasadena's old apartments!
It was cute to see that Mariah remembered some of what she learned from her swimming lessons last year. She could hold her breath, kick her feet and even jump into the pool (with help). She's such a water baby! She couldn't get enough of it. Here are a few pictures from our swim.
There was a dead mouse in the pool so we swam in the hot-tub area instead.

Then we jumped on the trampoline for a bit. Mariah didn't quite get the concept, but she liked it when I jumped for her.
Then we ran around the yard. Here's a picture of me chasing Mariah.

There was this big dog there and Mariah couldn't decide if she liked it or not. He couldn't hear and could barely see. He was so old, but he was very friendly!

All in all, a very good day. We missed the beach but we had way more fun swimming!
