In mid-August, Brian and I got to go to Hawaii with his family. It was tons of fun! Here are the highlights of the trip.
On the plane to Hawaii!
Our sweet ride, an Escalade, that we sadly only had for about five minutes until we realized it couldn't fit us, and we had to trade it in. Thank goodness I got a picture first!
The view from our room.
We spent a lot of the week by the pool.
Mariah couldn't get enough of the water slide.
This is what Claude did most of the time :)
Quality cousin time.
This is the cutest picture of Blake!
And playing on the turtles!
It rained almost every day at different times.
At moments, we had quality indoor time playing games.
And playing on iPhones.
And making weird-looking cookies in the "micro-oven" because our rooms didn't have real ovens (they were still pretty good tho!).
We had the chance to get some snorkeling in at Tunnels beach.
It was my first time. It was so much fun!
I even got to chase turtles around (but apparently that's illegal, so don't tell anyone!).
But it ran away, so no harm done :)
Then we went kayaking out to the ocean.
We had races and splash wars with Tim and Laisa (we won, ha ha!).
This was after we went snorkeling again. We can't get enough of it!
It was a great adventure!
Since we had three babies on the trip, we had to split up.
Claude and Marlena went with Steve and Christie. We all had a blast.
There was lots of beach time too.
And got to splash around.
And we had a rockin time!
Then we drove one day to see the rest of the island.
We went to Waimea Canyon (the Grand Canyon of Hawaii). Gorgeous!
Here is a view of the Na'pali coast, the part of the coast not accesible by road.
Some of us went on a Na'pali coast boat excursion.
And saw dolphins!
On the last night, we went to a luau, so fun!
The girls thoroughly enjoyed it!
What an amazing trip! We had so much fun and can't wait to go back.
