I don't know if you can tell in these pictures, but I have had my braces for a whole YEAR! It's a long road to straightness, and I'm only about half way there! Next month they are finally going to put brackets on my lateral incisors (the ones next to my middle teeth). Have any horror stories with braces? I would love to hear them, it will make me feel better! :)

I used to suck my thumb so I had quite an overbite. I had headgear.... cuts in my mouth all the time from the braces and remember only eating bits of cheese after getting em tightened. Then, to make matters worse, after changing my orthodr once... another year was tacked on and it was like I started over. I had braces for 3 years, pure awfulness. When I finally took em off it felt so weird like I had fake teeth! But I have never regretted it! Just wish I wore my headgear more cuz it might have made it go by faster!
I had braces for FOUR years, 6th-9th grade! One check up they had to take off a few of my front ones and they had me go brush...I remember looking in the mirror and thinking, OH my gosh I have horse teeth!! They looked SO big without the braces on them, I thought I wanted braces forever.
I'll admit, I kind of liked having braces. The key is color coordinating your rubber bands with the season. I'm counting on you for red and green this Christmas! ;)
