Pumpkin Patch!

On Monday, I took the girls to the pumpkin patch at the Underwood Family Farms. This was the first huge public outing I have done by myself. Thankfully my friend Paige carpooled with me so she helped me out quite a bit.

For some reason I thought a Monday morning would not have very many people, but I forgot. I live in southern California. Every place you go has a bazillion people! I was a little in stress mode, but it turned out to be an awesome day!

We drove up and parked in hay bale parking spots next to the pumpkin fields.

I didn't realize what a big deal this farm would be. I was impressed at how organized it was!

It was the first time at the pumpkin patch for both Paige and me. Next year we will definitely bring our hubbies, this would make a great FHE night!

Kylie was getting some fresh air and sun. It was warm and breezy, so nice!

I am so glad I brought the big kahuna stroller, this place was huge! And thankfully stroller friendly. A lot of people brought wagons in to haul their pumpkins and kids around.

The front gate

This farm grows just about EVERYTHING. I think it's open all year, just doing different seasons. In a couple more weeks it's going to open up as a Christmas tree farm. Maybe we will be returning??

They had several free areas for the kids. This was a mini park area.

Then there were lots of animals, like a mini zoo.

This cow was MASSIVE. I tried to show scale, but this picture just doesn't show it.

Mariah went into a petting zoo. Mariah got to brush the goats.

She liked it. But I think she liked playing in the dirt just as much. Ah, city life :)

Some awesome turkeys!

None of our kids are looking up!

Mariah and me!

Cute little donkey. Mariah got to feed it.

Sweet hay bale pyramid! Mariah played on this for a long time!

Pumpkin house

This photo was taken during lunch time. I tried to feed Kylie some cooled breastmilk in a bottle and she was NOT having it. So I glamorously nursed her at the pumpkin patch amid the breeze and hundreds of people at a picnic table. It was ... a new experience. If I could do it there, I can do it anywhere!

Mariah couldn't wait for me to finish feeding Kylie, so she went on the combine slide without me. It was a struggle getting her away from this!

Paige and Fox liked it too :)

Then we tried our luck in the corn maze. We thought it would be an easy kiddie maze....NOPE.

We got lost pretty fast.

We saw a lot of these: dead ends. And then we decided it wasn't worth the stress and headed out before we found the middle.
Mariah and I went on a tractor ride. Can you see us in the back??

We had a lot of fun picking out the scarecrows along the way. This pumpkin patch had everything!

Meanwhile, Kylie slept on and missed all the fun.
