E is for Elephant

This past week was my turn to lead our mommy-led preschool group (Mariah calls it "Pretty School"). We are on the letter E!

We started my learning different things that start with the letter E: eye, ears, eating, eggs, Elmo and elephant. Then we sang fun songs about elephants.

Our activity page: glueing elbow pastas on elephant ears.

The other side of the page was an E tracing game.

Snack time: popcorn and E-shaped cheese slices (I used a cookie cutter). I couldn't think of real E snacks (eggs?? eggplant?? eclair?? these kids are only 3!)

Then free time!

I am definitely liking our mom group. Mariah is starting to point out letters on signs. She always says, "M for Mariah!"

I did "E" once and we all ate peanuts (you know, like elephants...) yeah, huge mess and the kids all needed their peanuts opened for them :)

Looks like lots of fun! And lots of hard work. Teaching kids takes a lot of energy :)
