Last weekend we went to Disneyland (yes, again!) with our college friend Jeff and ward friends Brandon and Tanya. While there we saw the revival movie "Captain EO," featuring Michael Jackson from the 80s. It was pretty awesome. If you are in the area, I highly recommend this! It's in the theatre next to Space Mountain.
On Sunday, Mariah went in Nursery for the first time! For those of you unfamiliar with the Mormon jargon, this is the class for 1.5-3 year olds. And Mariah loved it! Most often, parents are asked to stay with their tots the first few weeks, but of course, Mariah didn't even notice when we stepped out. She was in toddler heaven. I'm sure Brian is going to love the break at church!
On Tuesday, we went to the beach with Shanell and Jenny. It was the most perfect day ever! The beach wasn't too crowded, and it was so warm, a nice preview of summertime! Then for lunch we hit up Cafe Rio (FYI, Cafe Rio is to UT as In-and-Out is to CA, and recently they have opened 2 restaurants near us, all my UT/BYU friends are going nuts). Traditionally I am not a fan, but I finally tried the sweet pork salad (sans the nasty lime rice) and now I am a follower. It might have to be a post-beach tradition from now on!
Wednesday was St. Patricks day of course, and since I am at least 1/64 Irish (I do Genealogy, guys!), I decided to celebrate in style. For girls nite this week we watched Far and Away, a fabulous tribute to Tom Cruise. Then Wednesday morning, I made Brian some green eggs. Later that morning, Mariah and I went to a St. Patty's Day brunch at a church member's house.
Then just today, Mariah and I went to Story Time at the library. And we luckily ran into Shanell and Hallie there. This week it was about spring time. Mariah loves it!We were very busy this week! But it's all been fun.

You have a Cafe Rio!?!?! Well, Utah has In N Outs ALL OVER so I guess it's fair. But we need a Cafe Rio up here! We have made the sweet pork before...SO good! And easy. We made all the stuff that go with it (dressing, rice) and had a bunch of people over and it was yum. This was like over a year ago, so I don't actually remember much about it other than it was really good! I love their steak salads
